Prior to waxing.....

Discontinue use of any Retin A, products containing Retinol, or vitamin A derivatives for 3 days  prior to waxing.  You cannot be waxed if taking Accutane or any medications that cause thinning of the skin.

Let hair grow a minimum of 7 to days prior to waxing.  No tanning directly before waxing treatment.

Do not wax the same day as a special event.

Treatment prep.....

Prior to treatment I will cleanse your skin with a lavender cleansing solution followed by a jasmine prepping oil to protect your skin for body waxing.  After waxing I will use a natural antiseptic lavender oil, with peppermint and mandarin to calm the skin.  Followed by and organic anti-inflammatory masque to reduce redness.  If prone to breakouts after waxing High Frequency can be done to kill bacteria in the skin.  High Frequency is an ultra violet light that creates an ozone which helps  kill acne causing bacteria.  Greatly reducing breakouts.

Product description.....

I use Berins French Depilatory wax.  Berins products are superior to other wax products.  Warmed at low heat, wax is applied just above skin temperature making it gentle yet effective.  The creamy texture makes it less brittle and sticky than traditional waxes.

A hard wax is used for the face, underarms, bikini and Brazilian.  Hard wax is applied thicker than soft wax and removed without strips.  Unlike soft wax, hard wax does not stick to the skin, which makes it less irritating.

A soft wax is used for arms, legs, back,  chest, and stomach.  Soft wax is applied thin and removed with strips.
Aftercare....

Following a professional wax hair removal treatment, the skin will stay silky smooth for longer than any other method of  temporary hair removal.  To ensure maximum comfort and benefit after the treatment it is important to follow the steps below at home.

Avoid applying heat to waxed area for 12 to 24 hours.  This includes hot baths, saunas, and steam baths.

Avoid suntanning for 12 to 24 hours after waxing.  This includes any strong U.V. light exposure or sunbed treatments.

Avoid applying highly fragranced  products to the waxed areas.  This includes perfume, scented body lotions, antiperspirants, cosmetics or feminine hygiene sprays.  Only use professional products, recommended to you by the skin care specialist who performed the waxing service.

Avoid using harsh abrasives or exfoliates in the waxed area.  If you are prone to in-grown hairs, loofah mittens or exfoliate scrubs can be used 24 hours after your wax treatment.  You can also use a topical treatment product like PFB vanish (found at neatkitty.com).

Avoid applying high SPF sunblocks to the waxed area for 12 to 24 hours after waxing service.  Sunscreen chemicals can be irritating to the newly waxed skin.  This includes self - tanning products and tan accelerators.

Any pinking of the skin should disappear within 6 to 8 hours after the waxing treatment.  Slight pinking is normal, and indicates that the hair was removed from the root, rather than superficially broken off as in shaving.  This is the reason that professional waxing lasts for so much longer.

For best results repeat your professional waxing every 4 to 6 weeks, depending on the area and your individual hair growth rate.
